An internally zooming RF 70-200mm f/2.8L would provide desired handling for this key user base. It’s unclear whether this would be a marked “version II” or simply a new offering in the RF lineup. The original collapsible design remains popular for its portability.

According to latest rumors Canon’s next lens could be the RF 50mm f/1.4. Anonymous sources suggest a new RF 50mm f/1.4 is being tested by select photographers, though its announcement is not imminent.
