Here are two new Canon patent applications surfaced online. The company has filed two new RF lens patents for the 28-70mm f/2.8and RF 28-60mm f/4 Lenses, which are designed for Canon EOS R system.

It is now confirmed by Nokishita that the next RF Lens coming from Canon will be the RF 5.2mm f/2.8L USM Lens. The details and announcement date is still unknown at the time of writing.
At the moment we only know that the Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8L lens will be a dual fisheye VR lens (for virtual reality).
The full lens moniker is Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8L Dual Fisheye.
It seems that Canon is entering VR with the EOS R system and this is definitely an interesting development for RF lenses.
