Rumors : Canon EOS R8 to be Announced Soon at CP+ 2023

According to latest Canon rumors, the upcoming Canon EOS R8 mirrorless camera will be announced around CP+ 2023 in February. This EOS R8 will be an APS-C RF mount model and sit between the EOS R7 and EOS R10

In terms of specs, Canon EOS R8 is said to feature with same 24.2MP APS-C sensor as on EOS R10. On the other hand EOS R8 will take on a bit of a different form factor and will have a new kind of “flippy screen”.

There will be other new products to be announced ahead of CP+ 2023. So stay tuned for more information.

Three Wide-angle Canon Prime L RF Lenses Coming in Q1 of 2023

Canon will Release Three Wide-angle Prime L RF Lenses in the First Half of 2023. According to latest rumors from CR, in next six months, Canon will release at least 3 new wide-angle prime L series RF mount lenses. Two of these lenses are RF 35mm f/1.2L USM lens and RF 24mm f/1.4L USM lens. The third lens is unknow at the moment.

As rumored before, a total of 4 wide-angle prime L lenses will be released in 2023. These 4 lenses are:

Rumors : New Canon Camera Between R7 & R10, EOS R8/R9?

According to latest Canon rumors, Canon is planning to announce a new APS-C EOS R camera soon. This camera could be named EOS R8 or EOS R9 and position between EOS R7 and EOS R10.

Canon EOS R8/EOS R9 could possibly see the omission of a built-in viewfinder. Currently not other specs is available yet.  Here are the details ;

[…] latest bit of information […] is a new camera body coming that will fit between the Canon EOS R7 and Canon EOS R10 in the lineup from a price standpoint. We don’t think that this is going to be a similar product placement as we had seen with DSLRs and the EOS 77D. We think that the EOS R8/EOS R9 (guessing on the name) will have a different form factor and could possibly see the omission of a built-in viewfinder, but those are just guesses at this point.

New Canon Firmware Updates : EOS R3, EOS R7 and EOS R10

Canon firmware updates for the Canon EOS R3 full frame,  Canon EOS R7 and EOS R10 APS-C mirrorless cameras have been released. You can find all the details and download link below.

Canon EOS R3 firmware ver. 1.2.2 (download), incorporates the followingCanon EOS R3 fixes:

  1. Fixes an issue that, in rare instances, displays an Error Code 70 when the camera is capturing small subjects.
  2. Fixes an issue that, in rare instances, may result in image files not being recorded properly when the battery is removed from the camera while the power switch is set to <on> or <lock>.

Canon EOS R7 firmware ver. 1.1.0 (download), incorporates the following enhancement:

  1. Supports Cloud RAW image processing.*
    • It is necessary to purchase a subscription plan for Cloud RAW image processing from Canon. The service will start on July 25. *Please note that before the firmware is updated, images added using the [Add images to process] option cannot be processed, so please use the [Check/remove selected images] option to cancel image processing. Please use the [Add images to process] option again only after having updated the firmware to Version 1.1.0.

Canon EOS R10 firmware ver. 1.1.0 (download), incorporates the following enhancement:

  1. Supports Cloud RAW image processing.*
