Canon EOS RP Replacement (RP Mark II) Coming after the EOS R3

According to the latest rumors, Canon will announce entry-level EOS RP camera successor (RP Mark II) after the announcement of high-end EOS R3.

Canon EOS R5 and the EOS R6 are selling really well. At this stage it should come as no surprise that after the launch of the EOS R3, Canon is considering adding a boost to budget-friendly cameras.

Canon released more details and specifications of the upcoming Canon EOS R3 mirrorless camera.

Canon is currently working hard on the replacement for the Canon EOS RP, which will obviously be the new entry-level RF mount mirrorless camera and will be priced aggressively. First Canon EOS R3 Review

First Canon EOS R3 Review is out. Before the official launch Gordon Laing put his hands-on the new Canon EOS R3 to test any of the features.

The Canon EOS R3 is high-end mirrorless camera aimed at professionals who demand the fastest speed and toughest body. Announced in April 2021, it’s Canon’s most powerful mirrorless camera to date, and while likely to outperform the 1Dx Mark III in most respects, it’s officially positioned between it and the EOS R5.

Sony a7RV & Canon R5S Leaked Specs Comparison

Tony Northrup previews the upcoming high megapixel full-frame camera wars. According to the leaked specs, the upcoming Sony a7RV will keep the same 60 megapixel sensor (with 240 megapixel PixelShift mode), but it will add improved autofocus and a better viewfinder. On the other hand, the rumor mill predicts an upcoming higher-megapixel version of the Canon EOS R5 with more than 100 megapixels!

Firmware Update for Canon EOS C70 Released

Canon announced a new firmware update for Canon EOS C70 RF mount cinema camera, scheduled to be released for download on June 30, 2021.

Since its introduction, the EOS C70 4K Digital Cinema Camera has been the buzz of the industry, delivering stunning imagery in a compact body. Now, Canon’s first RF-mount cinema camera is getting even better, with a firmware update that adds functionality and improves performance. A BT.709 option has been added, and a new View Assist feature allows for a WideDR/BT.709 LUT to be displayed over HDMI when shooting in Canon Log gamma. For your autofocus needs, a new “whole area” option increases the AF area to 80% of the frame.

Firmware Updates for Canon EOS C500 Mark II & C300 Mark III

Canon has announced the new firmware updates for the EOS C500 Mark II and Canon EOS C300 Mark III (replacement for the current Mark II version) cameras. The firmware updates are expected to be available for download on July 30, 2021.

Official Update : What We Know About Canon EOS R3

Canon has released additional details about its high-end  Canon EOS R3 mirrorless camera, that is under development.

The Stacked CMOS sensor, which will have very fast readout, can shoot Raw bursts at 30 fps. When used with compatible RF lenses, its in-body stabilization can reduce shake by up to eight stops. Autofocus has been enhanced over current EOS R models, with improved face/eye/head and animal detection, plus new car and motorcycle tracking capabilities. Canon says that the R3 will be able to focus at light levels as low as -7EV.

EOS R3 key features announced as of today (2nd June 2021) are:
